Happy Tu Tu!!!

This is the result of careful professional editing, concise direction and .....ok this is how things unfold in our house and I just used the pause button on my cellphone's camera. I was trying to get Kelsey to say her phrase for "Happy Birthday." Which is "Happy Tu Tu!"

S'more Chickens

Well, we've finally got the chickens in their new house and the girls seem to lovin' it. Macher did all the work...well, I helped pound a few nails....but Mom did it all. From designing to the building and everything! She's quite a handy woman to keep around. She even got "rid" of the boy chickens who were turning into regular roosters! Mmmm...chicken wings never tasted so good.

Here are a few pics to let you see the great work Mom did! Let her know what you think! Congratulate her on her first building!
BTW...one of the hens...I've named her S'more 'cause she reminds me of a toasted marshmallow. She's pretty and she's friendly. That's Kelsey's finger trying to pet her in the picture.

TRAINS!

We recently went on a little adventure with the kids. They have loved watching the trains go by our house and have wanted to go on one. So, we took the kids to the Sandy Trax line and journeyed to Temple Square by commuter rail. It's just a light rail train but they were excited just the same.

While up at Temple Square, we got some pretty pics of the flora and fauna...(John took the second pic)....

some of the fountains...(John took the first two pics!)...
...and the "natives" of Temple Square on a Friday morning...

And I thought I was the only one checking out the brides! :-)

We had a lot of fun! We're hoping to get up to the zoo and maybe one more train ride in before school starts. We'll see how life goes.

Home Improvements

So, we've been working on some home improvements...meaning, we've finally put up curtains in the living room! It seems to have changed the room quite a bit! Take a look! We love the green curtains with the ivy. The softness of the lines in the room make it more comfortable for us.

As we've been working on curtains, we also noticed a problem in the basement. We woke up the other morning to find water dripping/pouring through the window onto the floor. Seems like we had about six to eight inches of water collecting ABOVE the gravel in the well. Soaked into the area rugs (thank goodness the room is unfinished, right?) and into the temporary insulation. They put a pump in the window well to remove the water, but they can't figure out where the water came from. So...until they figure it out...we're left with the following outside our window. Pretty, huh?

And one more update on our family! Bekah's now pulling herself up next to stuff...up on hands and knees...and generally doing what almost eight month old babies do! That includes chewing on everything. She's turning into a regular puppy!

Bacon

Yes, Bacon. I spent 2+ hours Friday night cooking bacon for a ward breakfast the next day. How much cooked bacon can be cooked in 2+ hours? 10LBS!!! Well, that's 10lbs uncooked bacon...so that probably yields...what?.....4lbs if that. Anyway, it made me think of the following video, enjoy.

Locks Of Love

With the weather being hot for quite a while now and Linda wanting a bit of a change she decided that it was time again to cut the ol' locks.

This is now the second time since we've been married that she has donated her hair to the Locks of Love foundation. The main benefit for us is that the cut is free, but honestly we would do it anyway. Check out their website for more information.

Oh, and of course, some pictures of the kids. What can I say? The camera loves our kids.

I haven't played with Photoshop in a while and thought it would be fun to tweak this last one.
