Things That Really Made Me Laugh Hard This Week

I'm not the type of person to unabashedly laugh out loud. But, this week had some great moments.

1) Skunk?

We went camping Wednesday and Thursday to celebrate Linda's Mom's Birthday. Now this place was infested with "Barking Spiders." I had been stepping or sitting on them all night as well as a few other people at the camp. However, there seemed to be a particularly bad infestation following me around all night long. Well, as we were settling down into bed I found another, rather large, "barking spider" in my sleeping bag. As is custom when squashing these creatures I got the giggles. Well I burst out into full uproarious laughter as soon as I hear Kelsey a minute or two later ..."mommy, I smell skunk!" Absolutely made my night, and that night I really needed the laugh.

2) Big Head and little arms.

We rented Meet The Robinsons last night. This movie is a gem and definitely worth picking up. Well there was one scene that absolutely had me rolling.

The arm waving really got me....still kills me to watch it. Hope you all enjoy.

Our Growing Kids

Just wanted to let you all have a view of our kids as they grow. It's kinda fun to see pics now and compare them to when they were smaller...even a few months ago "smaller." Anyway, it has been fun to see them change and learn.

John is FULLY potty trained but still wants to be a baby sometimes. He loves to be rocked and cuddled. Spending a few moments with John can be very calming (when he's not squriming and being silly). He understands quiet time and is a very good reader.

Kelsey wants to do everything John does. If he says something, she'll try to copy his words, actions, and inflections. If he wears a belt (or suspenders...or underwear), she must copy him too! It makes some of the potty training easier for her but not completely. Ah well. She's just barely two (see the following entry for her birthday celebration!). I can't expect her to be almost three and a half.

Bekah's the one who's done the most growing and stuff--normal for an infant. She's graduated to sitting up unassisted and scoot/crawling across the floor. She's not quite up on all fours to crawl yet, but she can usually get where she wants to go between scooting and rolling. She's a happy baby and loves to blow bubbles or raspberries to show her love.

Kelsey's 2nd Bday Party

We had a wonderful party for Kelsey's 2nd birthday ... unfortunately, it has taken us a few weeks to get a post up about it. So sorry! Enjoy the pictures and thank you for the wonderful presents! Kelsey loves her ponies, babies, and clothes...! She doesn't quite understand all of the attention but she loved it anyway. Enjoy the pics.

Kelsey has just been crazy about Raggedy Ann and Andy so we decided to make a cake fitting for our girl. She accidentally saw her cake before birthday time and was VERY excited to have her very own "Nanny cake!"
Kelsey loved her presents so much that she wanted to wear or ride them all. Those are actually shorts on her head...but they work well as head wear too. Don't you think?
