For those who have been wondering what our new place looks like, we decided to finally post some pics. We had to wait until most of the boxes were put away to give you all a fair peek of what we have. Welcome to the show!
Living room is huge! There is a play area on the other side of our sitting area. I think the sitting area is really supposed to be a more formal dining area (it has a suspended light fixture that you can't see) but who wants toddlers eating over carpet!?
The deck is a nice bonus. We've grilled here on our little charcoal grill a number of times already. The kids like to play on the deck in the morning when it's still shady. Bikes/trikes make a lot of noise on the Trex surface at 1000.
Second floor laundry seems to be the popular thing these days. It wasn't easy getting the washer/dryer upstairs. Yes, that's a brand new set. The old dryer pooped out on us and we decided to get a matching set. They work wonderfully! The other pic is of the kids' playroom. We have all three kids in one bedroom for now. They love the extra room!
This, is Shawn's cave of wonders! He works his magic in the unfinished family room in the basement. We're hoping to get this room finished before the snow flies...seeing that it doesn't have any heating/cooling ventilation for this room. So, if anyone knows how to frame, sheet rock, install vents, and do electrical work, we'd welcome ALL free laborers...and if you have extra supplies lying around as well. Just kidding. That's about it. Come and see for yourself!

It looks great, guys! Congrats on the new place! You'll have to email me your new address, by the way. :)
Hey, the decorations on the fridge make it offically a home. Congrats!
I know someone that can do framing, wiring, and install ducts for heat. He doesn't design other peoples' basements, though. They need their own design and plan. He can even show you the easy way to do sheetrock . . . maybe I can get him down there on the 20th.
Looks wonderful.
