Alex and Michelle's Wedding

For those that do not know this couple, you can choose for yourself whether or not you want to read this post. Most of the guys will move on and not pay much attention unless they know Alex Tweed or Michelle (formerly, Jensen) Tweed. However, I think that if I were to put up a few pictures from the wedding I can get the females who visit this blog to stay on a little longer.

Saturday was a fantastic day for a wedding. The day was blessed with beautiful sunshiny weather, a nice breeze to help against the hot and very much humid day, and all the family one could hope for. All of the Tweed siblings and most of their families were able to make it to the temple. We had to excuse Mike as he got a pretty bad case of sun poisoning from our day at the beach the day before.

The sealing inside the temple was beautiful. The Spirit was so thick it was darn near tangible. I was quickly reminded of my own sealing to my beautiful companion not so many years ago. There truly is a blessing in having the Gospel in our lives and having the keys of the priesthood restored to the earth to perform the sealing ordinances that take place in temples around the world uniting families together throughout the eternities.

The kids did really well, from what I hear. While those who were in the temple for the sealing were occupied, Michelle's sister Stephanie took the kids over to a nearby stake center. I can't thank her enough for all she did to help us with the kids--as well as Michelle's other family members who opened their home to us and allowed us to have a wonderful and memorable visit.

After taking pictures in the 94+ degree weather we headed over to IHOP for the wedding lunch. This is a testament to the wonderful down-to-earth nature of Alex and Michelle. We had a great time visiting with friends and family while enjoying some wonderful service and food. There was even a gentleman who came in to make balloon animals for the kids.

We all went back to our respective hotels to rest up for the reception that night. I'd say more, but really I think I've talked enough. These pictures and this video should suffice. Hehe! Welcome to the Marine Corps, Mrs. Tweed!
