Sewing Projects...Will They Ever End?

So I was going through some of the projects and stuff that I've never finished...and got some motivation (From where?  I have no idea.) to finish them.  Well, not all of them will get finished right now, but here are the most pressing ones that I've gotten accomplished in a few short days.  The quilts were from scraps that a neighbor left when she moved.  There wasn't enough to make a large baby blanket out of one of the fabrics, but cut up into multiple blocks, there was enough for several different sized blankets that, I think, matched fairly well.  There were four blankets but the fourth is baby doll sized and has been claimed by Bekah for her Black Bear.  I don't even know where she's hiding that one.  But it matches the purple quilt.

The purple blanket has been one of the favorite with the kids.  The white border is polar fleece.  The purple inner border is violet minky.  And the center is multiple squares of violet shaded flannel.  The loft on the batting is fairly thick.  So, it's just right for a fairly cool night.

All three of these will be shortly donated to charity. I guess I just wanted to remember how fun it was to make them.  I have little need for three baby girl blankets and I know there must be someone out there struggling to find something comforting for their little girl.  My kids have put tons of love into the blankets (ie. hugging, wrapping themselves up in them, etc).  I hope they can find awesome homes.

The following quilt will be saved and loved for as long as possible.  This is Kelsey's quilt:

Well, this is only the main section of Kelsey's block of the month quilt that I started in 2009.  Ah well.  I guess better late than never, right?  I should have the sashing sewn to the top soon and then I can work on getting a back and batting for it.  Perhaps I can work on quilting it over the summer at Macher's house.  She's got some awesome frames, and a bit more uninterrupted space than we do at our house.  I'll try to post some pictures of the ongoing progress.  Maybe that will help keep me motivated to finish Kelsey's quilt before another three years passes.

Once I finish the blankets, do you think I should go ahead and clean out the rest of the sewing projects?  Perhaps.  Anyone got a need for fur?  I've got loads of scrap fabric.
